In the Dallas center, Therapy and Beyond operates their Life Center. This which helps young adults develop life skills such as grocery shopping, folding laundry and practice other real-world skills. Therapy and Beyond accepts insurance and is in-network with most insurance providers.
How it Works
Families are free to tour the clinic after an initial call with the intake department. Each individual will work with a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). They will also work with and a team of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT). Parents are a vital part of their child’s therapy team. Therapy and Beyond offers individualized parent and family supports. Parents also receive monthly direct training by their child’s BCBA. This way they can carry over and implement the child’s lessons in their everyday life. Therapy and Beyond collaborates with your child’s school and other outside therapies her/she is receiving. We do this to keep measures consistent over a variety of settings and time.

Tell Us Your Story and Why You Got Started
The inspiration for Therapy and Beyond started when founder Dr. Regina Crone’s family adopted her youngest brother from Russia. At eighteen months old, he had few sounds, little eye contact and displayed behaviors such as head-banging. Dr. Crone’s family began to see behaviors like lining up shoes or separated toys into color-coded piles on the floor. By age two, his obsession for structure along with poor communication skills led her family to seek professional help.
As the oldest of five children, she recalls her mother working tirelessly. From school district red tape to frustrated therapists who readily gave up, she ran into dead ends time and time again. Nonetheless, her perseverance paid off, when one dedicated therapist, using sign language taught her brother to speak. By the beginning of kindergarten, he was saying three-word sentences. By the end of that year, he’d risen to the highest reading group.
Seeing the Progression
Seeing the progression that her brother had made through the help of therapy, Dr. Crone admired the therapist for the time and care she had given him. Watching his communication skills and confidence grow inspired her to one day make a difference in other children’s lives. Most especially those that people tend to overlook.
From there came Therapy and Beyond, with the mission to help every child realize their highest potential. Above all, this allows them to remain true to their core values of excellence, responsibility, integrity, and professionalism. There is hope for every child. Our dedicated team combines ABA, speech, and occupational therapy to create unique individualized programs. These programs encourage family involvement and foster competence in the individual’s ability. They also help to generalize skills to the natural environments of home, school, and the community.
If Someone was Considering Your Services, What Would You Want Them to Know?
Applied Behavior Analysis is the most commonly recommended treatment for individuals with autism by physicians today.
We provide intensive, individual (Applied Behavior Analysis) ABA therapy in Dallas. We base our therapy on evidence-based research. Prior to starting therapy, we conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your child’s skills and deficits. After the evaluation, we provide a written report, including formal recommendations. A Behavior Analyst then works with you to create an individualized treatment plan focusing on all areas of development.
These include behavior, language, social skills, cognition, and self-help. We assign your child to a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst who oversees your child’s progress along with a team of therapists. As a whole we consider the family unit to be an important part of each child’s therapy program. Our goal is to help you become familiar with your child’s program. This makes it possible for you to carry over and implement these lessons in your everyday life.
Speech and Occupational Therapy
Along with ABA, we are practice speech and occupational therapy. Speech Therapy includes comprehensive evaluations. Areas covered include speech, language, sensory, and pragmatics. This provides individualized therapy in one-on-one settings to meet each child’s needs. Licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) provide therapy.
It covers sensory integration dysfunction of the oral motor structures. It also covers feeding, social pragmatic language, articulation, receptive and expressive language, and auditory processing disorders. For those families also receiving ABA therapy, collaboration with a Behavior Technician and a Speech Pathologist is available. To ensure success, both the ABA therapist and the SLP work together simultaneously on your child’s goals.
