Meet Joe

Joe Pahnke didn’t follow a typical path to franchise ownership. With a strong background in retail leadership and franchise operations, he knew how to run a business—but he wanted something deeper. Something with impact.

That “something” turned out to be Special Strong.

After years of managing operations for major brands, Joe felt called to shift his focus. A longtime believer in leading with faith and purpose, he was drawn to Special Strong’s values—deeply rooted in scripture and service—and saw an opportunity to bring that mission to North Dallas.

Today, Joe leads Special Strong North Dallas with a heart for his community and a vision to help people with mental, physical, and cognitive challenges live more abundant lives. With a focus on inclusion, kindness, and relationship-building, Joe is on a mission to spread awareness and provide adaptive fitness programs that help individuals reach their full potential.
