Special Strong North Oakland County Grand Opening

Special Strong is opening in North Oakland County, bringing adaptive fitness to children, teens, and adults with adaptive needs. Join owner Patricia Knickerbocker at the Special Strong pavilion during the Upland Hills Farm Fall Festival to celebrate with us.

Special Strong is built around the athlete in front of us. Our trainers adapt every workout, every piece of equipment, and every session to each athlete's goals, so athletes build strength, balance, and confidence at their own pace.

"Come experience what it means to be part of a community that celebrates strength, balance, and belonging for every ability."

I’m a Special Strong adaptive fitness business owner from Michigan. I retired from a long nursing career and became interested in assisting the adaptive needs community in increasing their independence through fitness in order to live a more abundant life. I’m also the mother of a 26 year old special needs daughter. I’m so impressed with the proprietary adaptive fitness program training with Special Strong that is based on neuroscience.
